Okay, I love Say Yes to the Dress, but Big Bliss version, so annoying.

Say Yes to the Dress; Big Bliss is the same as the regular Say Yes to the Dress, but with Plus size brides. It’s fine to be plus size; I don’t give a shit but do not say you’re fucking curvy when you are a goddamn size 30.

Because fat girls don’t deserve to feel good about themselves.

Let’s do this one at a time, shall we?

1. Wedding Dress sizes run REALLY REALLY small. As in: you’re a 6 jeans, honey you’re at least a 10 in wedding dresses. That’s just how the fabrics and designs work out for most high end dresses (including prom dresses, so high school girls reading this who were distressed over their prom dresses being a size or two bigger than what you normally wear, that’s why).

2. Girl, honey, sweety, Christina Hendricks is not a skinny girl. She is probably a size 12 or 14 from looking at her. But she is a perfect “S” curve. Her chest-waist-hips sizes are so proportionate to one another that Barbie would be jealous. So no, you can be whatever size you are and call yourself curvy. Terms like that aren’t said because you approve of them (which you shouldn’t have to-that’s a little narcissistic, don’t you think) it’s said because that’s how they want to refer to themselves.

3. That picture of Marilyn was during one of her thinner stages. She was actually a REAL size 12 or 14 for much of her modeling career. Don’t talk unless you know facts.

4. Are you going to hold my hand while I cry in a fitting room because I’m too ashamed of my body to feel beautiful on my wedding day? No, you fucking aren’t. It’s so narcissistic to say that because you think a size 30 is fat over curvy that those women should be ashamed of themselves. I’m sorry, who died and made you the decider of when certain words are appropriate? That’s right: no one. Because you have no place telling a woman that she can’t feel good about herself. If calling herself curvy makes her feel better about being a size 30, than fuck off, she’s curvy and is going to look fan-fucking-tastic on her wedding day.

5. YOU ARE TELLING WOMEN TO BE ASHAMED OF THEIR SIZE! Anyone else feel the enormous sadness that this is a real thing.

^^^this. I’m not naturally a heavier girl. I’m average I guess, but after finding one dress I loved and buying it, I found out months later I was pregnant. So my dress doesn’t fit and I went to find a new one. It ofcourse ended up being a few sizes bigger, but I still feel pretty in it even though I know I look bigger. Big can be beautiful. =]
